At Alchemy we take the time to understand your hair, scalp and individual circumstances before recommending treatment. Using detailed scalp assessment, digital trichoscopy and further investigation where appropriate, we help you understand your concerns and explore the most suitable options for you.
Your hair. Your scalp. Your treatment plan.
.
Your consultation is the first step towards understanding your hair
and scalp.
We use digital trichoscopy to examine the scalp, hair density and
individual follicles in detail, alongside a discussion of your
symptoms, medical history and lifestyle.
We can assess concerns including:
.
We discuss your concerns and assess your hair and scalp.
Where appropriate, we may recommend blood tests or further
assessment.
We explain our findings and discuss the treatment options that may
be suitable for you.
Your progress is monitored and your treatment plan reviewed where
appropriate.

Understanding what may be contributing to hair loss and scalp.
Hair and scalp assessment does not always identify the full picture.
Where appropriate, blood tests may help investigate nutritional,
hormonal or other medical factors that could be contributing to hair
concerns.
Depending on your individual circumstances, testing may include:
Your results will be reviewed by a healthcare professional and
explained to you, with further investigation or treatment
recommended where appropriate.
Blood testing is not necessary for everyone experiencing hair loss.
The tests recommended will depend on your symptoms, medical
history and consultation findings.

Platelet-rich plasma treatment for the scalp.
PRP uses a concentrated preparation of your own blood platelets.
The treatment is administered into selected areas of the scalp following assessment and is used in hair restoration with the aim of
supporting the scalp environment and existing hair follicles.
A small amount of blood is taken from your arm and processed to
prepare the platelet-rich plasma. The PRP is then introduced into
the areas of the scalp being treated using a fine needle.
A course of 3–6 sessions may be recommended, depending on
your individual treatment plan.
PRP is intended to support existing hair follicles and does not
create new follicles. Results vary between individuals and suitability
will be assessed during your consultation.

An emerging approach to hair and scalp care.
Exosome-based treatments are an emerging area of regenerative
medicine. Exosomes are extracellular vesicles involved in cell-to-
cell communication and are being investigated for their potential
applications in hair and scalp treatment.
Exosome therapy may be considered for selected individuals
following an assessment of their hair and scalp.
A course of 3–6 sessions may be recommended, depending on
your individual treatment plan.
Research into exosome therapy for hair loss is continuing to
develop. Outcomes vary between individuals and results cannot be
guaranteed. Your suitability will be assessed during your
consultation.

Supporting the scalp environment.
Polynucleotides are injectable biostimulatory products used in
regenerative medicine.
In hair and scalp treatment, they are used with the aim of supporting the local scalp environment and the
condition of existing hair follicles.
A course of 3–6 sessions may be recommended, depending on
your individual treatment plan.
Polynucleotide treatment for hair loss is an emerging area, and
clinical research is continuing. Treatment is intended to support
existing follicles rather than create new ones. Suitability will be
assessed during your consultation.

Nutritional support, where appropriate.
Good nutrition plays an important role in overall health.
Certain nutritional deficiencies may also be associated with hair shedding.
Our healthcare team can assess your individual nutritional needs and advise whether IV therapy or other nutritional support may be appropriate.

When low iron may be contributing to hair shedding.
Low iron levels or depleted iron stores can be associated with hair
shedding in some individuals.
If your blood tests identify iron deficiency or low iron stores, an iron
infusion may be considered where clinically appropriate.
Iron infusion is not a routine treatment for hair loss. It should only be
considered where there is an appropriate clinical indication and
following assessment by a healthcare professional.

Targeted nutritional support.
Our hair-focused IV contains a combination of nutrients, including:
Your healthcare professional will assess your individual
circumstances and advise whether this treatment is appropriate for
you.
Nutritional supplementation is most beneficial where there is an
identified or suspected nutritional need. A hair-focused IV should
not replace appropriate investigation of an underlying cause of hair
loss.
There is no single approach that is suitable for everyone.
That’s why we start with understanding your hair and scalp—not with a treatment. Your consultation allows us to assess your individual concerns and determine whether further investigation, treatment or a combination of approaches may be appropriate.
