FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

An IV drip is a combination of fluids, amino acids, electrolytes and medications that is injected directly into the body with 100% delivery of benefits straight to the target organs. The effectiveness of an IV drip depends entirely upon what is put into it.While IV infusions aren’t meant to be a substitute for orally taken solutions, they serve as a supplement or alternative solution to quickly restore the body to peak balance and performance.

We can travel to your home, office or hotel in the following locations.

The Cotswolds

Home Counties (inc. Oxfordshire)

Please contact alchemy@effectdoctors.com if you are outside this area, as we may still be able to come to you.

After booking, one of our doctors will call you to make sure you are safe to have an IV drip and to confirm whether you’d like it at home or in our clinic. You will be fully refunded if we’re unable to administer your drip for any reason.

When you receive an IV drip at home, your doctor will review your past medical history, allergies and take some observations. This is to ensure that it’s safe to prescribe and administer a drip to you. They will then administer the IV drip to you and monitor you throughout.

Yes, IV drips are safe. There is a very small risk of an allergic reaction, just as you might be allergic to a food you haven’t tried before. Our team of doctors are trained to recognise and treat these reactions quickly and effectively.

We use very small cannulas (needles), so it will feel like a sharp scratch. If we fail to cannulate you, which is very rare, you will receive a full refund.
